Ashley and Martin Canberra Consultant / Qualified Trichologist Chris Wainwright started practicing as a Naturopath in 1990. After 5 years of practice, a regular male client asked him if he could help him with his hair loss. He thought this was a very interesting question, so he told him he would do some research into the area.

After some weeks of reading his medical and naturopathic books he prescribed a series of treatments. He used topical and internal herbs and some dietary changes. After some months his client reported improvement in his hair growth. Chris found this fascinating and started to do more research into this area.

Soon after, Chris considered a course in trichology, found the area fascinating and undertook a diploma of trichology over the next 2 years.

About 5 years after completing his trichology course Chris received an email asking for expressions of interest for a consultant trichologist in Asia. As a result, he worked in approximately 7 different countries each year, some only for 3 day periods, was required to do TV interviews, newspaper interviews, commercials, speak to health groups as well as patient consultations.

In 2011 he was approached by Richard Bond, CEO of Ashley and Martin with a view to setting up a new Ashley and Martin clinic in Canberra.

After visiting Ashley and Martin in Sydney and seeing the results they were getting in treating hair loss he agreed to join the organisation as its Canberra Consultant. Chris has found having new treatment tools and immediate access to medical practitioners who specialise in hair loss has made his job even more rewarding and interesting.
